Say hello to Vigen, an active member of our Yerevan, Armenia Chapter!
"A story, a life, new rises... My own story began in its way, when I was a 13 year old boy who loved the life with its bright colors and aspects. I stepped into an organization, where the greatest ideology, peace, operated. I have always tried to find the key to peace, through the bright side of the life might be uncovered. I found PTPI on this way. This is the exact organization, where I get motivated to create new ideas and implement new projects enthusiastically. You probably remember the creative pictures that I created and create now trying to present this organization's activity in that way. A little about me...
My role in my chapter is mainly based on sharing information, events and other happenings on social platform. In our organization my role is to do administrative work, getting acquainted with current as well as future projects, answering the phone calls and messages. And the most important part of my role is that to find cooperating organizations.I feel responsibility working in an organization where free working environment, pluralism and mainly teamwork is present.
My university is Yerevan State University, one of the best and leading universities in the Republic of Armenia. The university has 19 faculties. I’m studying in the faculty of Radio physics and electronics. My choice was not accidental. Since childhood I have had great interest in radio gadgets. My aim is to obtain MA and PhD degrees. I’m proud to study in a university where the main plan is to improve the quality of the education and make it interactive. Along with my studies I’m actively involved in the activities of Student Council and I have my little contribution in student life improvement and interest protection.
In 2014, I was elected as the best volunteer of the year at the award arranged by "Zartonk-89" NGO. Furthermore, I have many certificates received as a result of participating in seminars and trainings, such as "Internet tools", "Trafficking and migration", "Human rights and freedom", "Anticorruption world." I actively share and place any material connected to this organization in my "PTPI's family" group, as well as on different websites and social platforms.
I think that my activeness supports development and extension of this organization in the world, as well as engagement of people into cultural, humanity, educational programs. This year I took an active participation in "Global Youth Murals" drawing contest: we had arranged the drawing contest at my suggestion and won it (theme - human right). My other significant role in my Chapter is connected to new cooperation, active participation in and support the process of implementation of new programs.
I am planning to create a platform, on which representatives of different Chapters will have the opportunity to communicate freely and share their experience and skills. I regularly make creative pictures, videos connected to PTPI, thus promoting in informal way increase of interests of people. I love to read everything related to physics, listen to POP music and love the unique Armenian cuisine. I like to walk, be with my friends and just admire my nice town in my free time."
